PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (November 12, 2022) – The North and South number one seeds held their positions in an exciting day of action at the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Volleyball Championship Semifinals. South No. 1 Thomas Jefferson University defeated North No. 2 University of Bridgeport, 3-0; and North No. 1 Bloomfield College rallied in five sets to defeat S#2 Holy Family, 3-2.
Jefferson and Bloomfield will face off in the 2022 CACC Championship Final on Sunday at 12 p.m., on the Holy Family University Campus in Philadelphia, Pa. It will not only be a battle of the top-seeds, but also a 2021 re-match as both teams advanced to the Championship Final last fall. The winner of tomorrow's championship final will not only hoist the CACC Trophy and banner, but will also earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament at a site to be determined next weekend.

The Rams won by scores of 25-17, 26-24 and 25-20. 2022 CACC Player of Year Jess Molen had a match-high 15 kills in the victory. Kristine Guenther dished out a game-high 40 assists, and Cameron Johnson added 12 digs for the Rams. Jefferson heads to their second-consecutive CACC Championship Final and fourth in the last seven years (2016, 2017, 2021 & 2022).
Marissa Mullins, the CACC Rookie of the Year, had a team-high 12 kills for the Purple Knights. Jaden Drollinger had 37 assists.

Bloomfield rallied to a 3-2 win over Holy Family after the Tigers took the first two sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-22. The Bears took the following three sets with scores of 34-32, 25-15 and 15-9. Desiree Cruz led the Bears with a team-high 14 kills while Jaizahir Marrero followed with 13. Sophia Wintonick added a game-high 19 digs and Karla Maldonado had 18. Lauryn Hansford gave out 23 assists and Lily Jackson notched 13. The Bears make their second-consecutive CACC Championship Final appearance.
Allyssa Hartney had a game-high 17 kills for the Tigers. Isabella Mosquera followed with 13 kills. Morgan Steck had 15 digs with 40 assists while Faith Zehnder, Kyla Sayson, and Shelby Kinzer added 12 digs apiece.
