SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The Bloomfield College (0-0-1) men's soccer team battled to a scoreless tie with Shepherd University (0-1-1) on Saturday to open the Bears season.
Bloomfield saw keeper, Matthew Brun (Kearny, NJ) get his first action of the 2022 campaign as the red-shirt freshman registered just one save on one shot on-goal from the Rams. The Bears staunch defense kept Brun covered with the visiting team out-shooting Shepherd, 11-6 and enjoyed a 3-1 edge in shots on goal. Bloomfield led in corner kicks, 6-3.
The Bears return to action on Wednesday when they travel to the College of Staten Island for a 3 p.m. contest.
