WATERBURY, CONN. – The Bloomfield College (1-5-1, 0-4 CACC) women's soccer team were still in search of their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory of 2022 after dropping a nail-biting, 2-1 contest on Wednesday afternoon to Post University (5-4, 3-0 CACC). The Bears fourth consecutive setback came as the Eagles scored the go-ahead goal with only six seconds remaining in the game.
 
The home team found the back of the net first at the 27:50 minute-mark of the opening half of play. Bloomfield keeper, Mia Phillip (Bridgewater, NJ) made two saves in the game as Post put only four shots on goal to their opponents two. The visiting team would find the equalizing score in the 84^th minute off a header from Brittany Liss (Eatontown, NJ) assisted by Vanessa Schobel (Siegan, Germany). Liss' first goal of the season seemed to put Bloomfield in line for their second tie of the year but the Eagles capitalized on a throw-in with seconds remaining and got a header past Phillip for the game-winner.
 
The Bears host their next match on Saturday, September 24 against Holy Family University. The CACC match-up with Tigers is scheduled for a 1:30 pm first touch at historic Foley Field.
