BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bloomfield College (1-5-2, 0-4-1 CACC) women's soccer team mounted a comeback to secure a 2-2 tie with visiting Holy Family University (1-4-3, 1-1-2 CACC) Saturday afternoon.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest was played at historic Foley Field where the Bears fell behind 1-0 on a goal in the 13
th minute of play. The visiting Tigers added their 2
nd goal at the 73:26 minute-mark of the 2
nd half but Bloomfield found life on a penalty kick from
Leigha Bradding-Butler (London, England) just over a minute later.
The equalizing goal came off the foot of captain,
Savannah Smith (North Arlington, NJ) who broke-away down the field in the 89
th minute to bring her team even.
The Bears host Saint Thomas Aquinas College in their next match on Tuesday, September 27. The non-conference match is scheduled for 7:00 pm under the lights at Foley.
