BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Four out-of five Bloomfield College starters scored in double-figures as the men's basketball team prevailed in an, 83-76 victory over Alliance University. The Wednesday evening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle improved the Bears overall record to 10-9 and 6-4 in league play. The road loss left the Warriors with a 9-12 overall mark and 3-7 in conference games.
The Bloomfield offense shot 42.0 percent from the field (29-for-69 led by
Josh Morris (Ewing, NJ) who went 8-for-17 from the floor for 22 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Morris registered his second straight 20-point plus game and fifth overall on the season. Fellow starters
Andres Fulgencio (Englewood, NJ),
Deavion Ellis (North Bergen, NJ) and
Tyrek Battle-Holley (Jersey City, NJ) scored 16, 15 and 14 points respectively. Ellis added in 9 rebounds as the Bears dominated on the boards, 57-32 led by their fifth starter,
Abdallah Elsaleh (North Bergen, NJ) who grabbed a game-high 11.
After winning their second consecutive home game, Bloomfield will roll out the welcome mat on Saturday for another CACC contest, this time against Holy Family University. The Tigers come to town on January 28 for a 3:00 pm scheduled tip-off in The Den.
