BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The women's basketball team made it two-in a-row Wednesday night when they defeated Alliance University, 55-49. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory in The Den marked Bloomfield's first time winning back-to-back games all season.
The Bears (3-16, 2-8 CACC) saw a breakout game from junior transfer student,
Tiara Mahorn (Irvington, NJ) who posted her first double-double in a Bloomfield uniform. Mahorn registered 18 points to go with 11 rebounds for the home team while
Taneshia Tucker (Newark, NJ) and Kamrin Babs (Newark, NJ) each chipped in 11 points.
Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) led the Bears on the boards with a game & season-high 12 boards.
Bloomfield out-rebounded the Warriors, 62-39 and dominated in 2
nd-chance points, 21-6.
Next up the Bears will host their fourth-straight home game on Saturday, January 28
thagainst Holy Family University. The CACC battle with the Tigers is set for a 1:00 pm tip-off.
