BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The women's soccer team dropped their second-straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle Tuesday night when they hosted Post University. The Eagles swooped in for a, 3-0 decision over the Bears and left the home team with a, 1-6 overall record and still searching for their first CACC win at, 0-4 on the season.
Post (2-6-1, 1-3-1 CACC) took the lead in the opening half on a goal in the 20th minute of play as Bloomfield keeper, Mia Phillip got the start and played all 90 minutes for her team. The Bears held the visitors to one score for the rest of the half but the Eagles added two more in the 2nd period.
Phillip ended the night with 10 saves, bringing her total up to 41 denials on the year. The Eagles held a, 14-6 advantage in shots on goals for the game and a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
Now the Bears turn their sights to Georgian Court University for their next match up. The Lions visit Foley Field on Saturday, October 7th for a CACC battle set for a 1:30 PM start.
