TUCKER GOES FOR A DOUBLE-DOUBLE BUT BEARS FALL ON THE ROAD TO THE KNIGHTS, 72-58

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and Defensive Player of the Week, Taneshia Tucker recorded her first double-double of the season but it wasn't enough as the Bears women's basketball team fell 72-58 to Queens College. The Saturday afternoon match-up on the road left Bloomfield with a 1-3 record while the Knights enjoyed their first win of the season pushing their record to 1-3. 
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
    ·      Taneshia Tucker 27 points (8-15 FG, 5-8 3PT & 6-10 FT) and season-high 11 rebounds, first double-double of the season
    ·      Kamrin Babbs 8 points (3-10 FG, 2-5 3PT), 5 assists 1 block and 1 steal
    ·      Kayla Sykes 8 points (3-11 FG, 2-8 3PT) 2 rebounds
KEY MOMENTS
    ·      Queens went on an 11-2 run to end the final 4:45 minutes of the first quarter to take a 17-7 lead heading into the second quarter.
    ·      The Bears would open the second quarter of play with an 8-2 run as they cut the Knights advantage down to 19-15 with 7:51 left until halftime. A 16-3 spurt to end the second quarter gave                     Queens a 35-18 lead into the locker rooms.
    ·      The Bears opened the scoring in the third quarter with a 5-0 run to cut the Knights' lead down to 35-23. Both teams would go scoreless from 8:36 to 5:56 before the Knights made a three-pointer to extend their lead to 17 points, 40-23.
    ·      An 8-2 run by the visitors would cut the Knights' double-digit lead down to six, 46-40 but the home team withstood the Bears attack and eventually rebuilt their lead down the stretch.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
    ·      Jasmine McDuffie grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 2 assists while swiping 3 steals blocks on the road.
    ·      Bloomfield made 19 baskets for the game and were outshot 42.2 percent (27-64 FG) to 28.7 percent (19-64-13 FG) on the afternoon.
    ·      The Knights also out-rebounded the Bears, 47-37 and snagged a 13-10 advantage in steals while boasting a 21-8 edge in second-chance points
