Late Rally By Lincoln Knocks Off Bears At Home, 67-61

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The women's basketball team saw Lincoln University rally from being down five points (52-47) at the start of the fourth quarter to pulling out a, 67-61 non-conference win in The Den Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Bloomfield watched Tucker net a three-pointer at the 1:29 minute mark of the first quarter to go up, 23-12 and were in control, 25-14 at the end of the period. 
  • The Lions roared in the 2nd quarter however and countered with a 13-2 spurt that drew the contest even at, 27-27 midway in the frame. 
  • Babbs nailed a three-point shot in the final second of the half that sent the home team into the locker room up, 32-29. 
  • Bloomfield never surrendered their lead in the third quarter and another Tucker trey-ball gave them their 52-47 advantage heading into the final period.
  • Fields drained a three-pointer for Lincoln at the 4:51 mark that gave them a, 60-59 lead. 
  • The visitors completed their comeback with a, 7-2 run to close out the game as Bloomfield went scoreless across the final three minutes of play. 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • The Lions out-rebounded the Bears, 48-42 but Bloomfield had a slight edge in second chance points at, 19-16.
  • Lincoln held an advantage on points in the paint (28-24), points off of turnovers (10-9) and dominated in bench production, 22-10.
  • The loss marked Bloomfield's 5th straight and moved their non-conference record to 3-5
