HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ethan Maynard opened up the scoring for Bloomfield with a jumper and the teams traded baskets across the first ten minutes of the half until the Panthers went up, 22-15 on a Matthew Price bucket in the paint.
- A layup from Maynard capped an, 8-0 spurt from the home squad that claimed a, 23-22 lead with 6:19 to go in the half. Trading buckets the rest of the way, the guests went into the locker room with a slim 38-35 advantage at the break.
- Knotted at 48-48 with 15:50 on the clock in the 2nd half the Bloomfield offense went cold and Adelphi capitalized, reeling off sixteen straight points to take command of the East Region battle.
- A jumper from Deavion Ellis with 5:47 to go pulled the hosts to within eight (71-63) but the deficit was too large to overcome down the stretch.
