BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears men's basketball team saw assistant coach
Gage Daye inducted into the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Hall of Fame Sunday prior to their non-conference match with the College of Staten Island and then proceeded to claim an, 81-71 victory over the Dolphins in The Den. Daye, a two-time CACC Player of the Year and Met Writers Players of the Year (2010 & 2011) is Bloomfield's all-time leading scorer with 2,518 points and helped guide the program to the 2011 NCAA Division II East Region Championship and a spot in the Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass.

- The Bears and Dolphins made an equal number of shots for the game (27) and the same amount of three-pointers (6)
- Bloomfield secured the victory from the freethrow line, going 21-for-31 to Staten Island's, 11-for-16
- The Bears, thanks to Poole held a, 25-20 edge in bench points and also won the battle in the paint, 40-30
