HACKENSACK, NJ – The Bloomfield College women's basketball team (0-1) dropped their regular season opener to Fairleigh Dickinson University (1-2) Monday evening on the road, 92-60.
The Bears were led by
Bianca Ellis who tied a career-high with 22 points on 7-for-14 shooting from the field which included a blistering, 6-of-10 from three-point range.
Junior transfer,
Nia Mallette had a strong showing in her Bloomfield debut, dropping 18 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds for the visitors. Senior,
Anisha Able, recorded 8 points to go along with a team-high 7 rebounds.

The Bears return to action on Thursday when they travel down the NJ Turnpike to face Delaware State University (DSU). The 'Education Day' game with the Hornets is set for an 11:00 am tip-off to allow some of the DSU student body to attend the match-up with their professors.
