DIX HILLS, NY – The men's basketball team had a strong showing on the road when they took a, 108-82 victory against Five Towns College on Tuesday evening. The win improved Bloomfield's record to, 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the North American Conference for Intercollegiate Athletics (NACIA) while the Sound dropped to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league play.
The road team saw six players in double-figures which included a team-high, 18 points from
Semaj Bethea. The freshman guard went 6-of-8 from the field and converted 3-of-4 from beyond the three-point arc. Classmate,
Jahi Whitney put up his best performance as a Bear, going 6-of-9 from the floor for 17 points.
Devin Artis had a solid day with 15 points and 5 rebounds while
Marcus Bucknall snagged a game-high 13 boards to go alongside 9 points.
Bloomfield had a season-high 61 bench points fueled by Bethea, Whitney and
Na'Shawn Jones who added 10 points.
Zamorian Singleton and
Regan Burke rounded out the offensive production with 12 and 11 points as the Bears put up their highest point-production of the season (108).
UP NEXT
The Bears will return to the road on Thursday, December 18 for a battle against Berkeley College in Brooklyn. The first-ever meeting between the two NACIA teams is set for a 8:00 pm tip-off.
