PRINCE ANNE, MD – The women's basketball team saw their seven-game winning streak snapped when they went on the road to face the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) on Saturday afternoon. The Bears fell, 90-75 to the Hawks and saw their overall record move to, 7-3 after the battle with the NCAA Division I opponent.
Bianca Ellis led all starters with a team-high, 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting from the field.
Nia Mallette had a modest 12 points and 8 rebounds against UMES while
Anisha Able remained solid with her seventh-straight double-double, racking up a team-high, 12 boards to go alongside 11 points.
The visitors fell behind 28-14 in the opening quarter off the strength of an, 8-1 run by the Hawks early. Bloomfield was never able to recover from that deficit as the home team took the win to improve to, 7-8 on the year.

The Bears will celebrate the Holiday Season at home with family before returning to the road to close out 2025. New Years Eve they will travel to face St. Thomas Aquinas College at 1:00 pm.
