NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 10, 2025) – First place has been clinched in the regular season for all three games on the Spring 2025 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference E Sports schedule. During the season's final week, attention turns to the remainder of the seeding for the upcoming conference playoffs.
Each game has four teams competing in a six-week, double round-robin format. Post University is the only team with a winning record in
Rocket League, having improved to 5-0 last week. The Eagles, the runner-up in the inaugural CACC Tournament during the fall season, will be the No. 1 seed during the spring Rocket League event. Georgian Court University and Wilmington University are tied for second place, with Caldwell University a game back of that pair.
Bloomfield College, the fall champion in
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, has earned first place and the top seed for the spring playoffs. The Bears are now 5-0 this spring. Goldey-Beacom College will look to wrap up the No. 2 seed during the final week of competition, holding a one-game edge over Dominican University New York.
In the first CACC season of
Marvel Rivals, Goldey-Beacom has emerged as the team to beat. The Lightning are 5-0 and have locked up first place. Post, Caldwell, and Wilmington are a game apart for the final three playoff spots.
The CACC Spring 2025 E Sports Championships will take place on March 25 & April 1 for Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and March 28 & April 4 for Marvel Rivals. See the links above for the spring standings and schedule.
