BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Bears softball team hosted Wilmington University at Clarks Pond South on Tuesday and were shut out in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader, 10-0 and 11-0.
Both games ended in 5 innings with the Wildcats improving to 25-15 overall and 14-4 in league games while Bloomfield moved to 0-29 for the year and 0-14 in conference play.
The visitors used a seven-run 2
nd inning to seize control of Game 1 as the Bears recorded only three hits and committed 3 errors in the opening contest.
In Game 2 Wilmington put up runs in the second, third and fourth innings to secure the victory with the home team failing to register a hit during the match.

Bloomfield is right back to action tomorrow with another CACC showdown, this time against crosstown rival, Caldwell University for a 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm doubleheader.
