WATERBURY, CONN. – The Bears dropped the final two games of a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) series against Post University on Saturday. The weekend overnight trip left Bloomfield with a 0-36 record on the year and 0-26 in conference while the Eagles improved to 25-16 overall and 21-7 in league play.
In Game 1
Andres Frias went yard in the 5
th inning with a solo shot to centerfield. The Bears carved out four runs on nine hits but left eleven runners on base and Post took advantage claiming a 10-4 win in the third game of the series.
Game 2 saw the visitors jump ahead briefly in the 1
st when
Malachi Jones came home to score on a throwing error. The home team responded with five runs in the bottom of the frame and never looked back, concluding the series with a 22-1 victory.
NEXT UP
Bloomfield will head back home to host Felician University on Tuesday, April 22
nd in a rescheduled CACC doubleheader from April 12. First pitch of Game 1 is set for 10:00 am at Vailsburg Park.
