Biography
About Betoni: A solid all-around player, Betoni returns to the Lady Deacons for her senior season and will once again be an extremely versatile part of the club in her final campaign at Bloomfield.
As a junior: Appeared in 22 matches totaling 74 sets played...Totaled five kills, 25 assists and five service aces...Finished fourth on the Lady Deacons with 142 total digs to post a 1.92 digs per set average (also fourth on the club)...Betoni's .34 assists per set average placed her second on the club during the 2011 season.
As a sophomore: Appeared in all 22 matches totaling 78 sets played...Registered 37 kills to post a .47 kills per set average...Recorded 614 assists as the team's primary setter for an average of 7.87 per game, placing her third in the CACC...Hit 20 service aces and notched 165 digs for an average of 2.12 per set...Posted one solo block and three block assists...Totaled 56 assists in October 12 road match against rival Caldwell College, her career high...Posted at least 20 assists in 19 of the team's 21 matches in 2011.
As a freshman: Appeared in 17 matches with 59 sets played...Notched 15 kills and 79 digs to average 1.34 per set...Totaled 404 assists to average 7.07 per set, placing her seventh in the CACC...Registered 18 service aces to average .31 per set.
Before Bloomfield: A second team All-State selection during her high school career, Betoni starred at East Side High School before joining the Bloomfield College volleyball program.
Why Gabriella chose Division II: "I chose Bloomfield College because I felt like the school gave me the opportunity to become the best volleyball player and student I could be."
