BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College volleyball team celebrated homecoming Saturday afternoon with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) battle, but fell to the visiting Rams of Philadelphia University 25-15, 25-27, 26-28, 23-25.

Bloomfield (14-3, 8-3 CACC) started the first set on fire, tallying 10 kills on a blistering .450 hitting percentage. Philly U (14-4, 10-1 CACC) would make adjustments in sets two and three, but errors down the stretch proved too much for the Bears to overcome.

Diannmarie Rivera (Trujillo Alto, P.R.) tallied double-digit kills for a game-high 14 and added in 8 digs for the match. Freshman
Kali Viles (McKinney, T.X.) chipped in nine kills while sophomore
Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) recorded a game high 21 digs.

Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) dished out 20 assists in the four-set match and classmate
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alto Loma, Calif.) added 15 assists. The Bears received an outstanding performance at net by
Nayade Paulino (Paterson, N.J.) and
Alex Glasper (Hainesport, N.J.) who recorded eight and five blocks respectively.
