BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bears volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 sweep of their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rivals, Concordia College on Wednesday night by the counts of 25-13, 25-14, and 25-27.

The Bears improved to 15-4 on the season and 9-3 in CACC play while the Clippers dropped to 3-9 overall and in league action.

Bloomfield dominated the first two sets and posted a .412 attack percentage in Set 2 alone. The third set proved a little tighter as the visitors clipped the Bears five-point advantage (21-16) to go up 23-21 with a 7-0 spurt. Bloomfield eventually closed out the set and the match handing Concordia their second straight loss.

Juniors
Paola Acosta (Caguas, P.R.) and
Valerie Bermudez (San Juan, P.R.) led the Bloomfield attack with 7 and 5 kills respectively while senior
Diannmarie Rivera recorded 6 kills for the night.
Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) and
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alta Loma, Calif.) were solid with 16 and 10 assists respectively while sophomore
Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) registered a team-high 8 digs.

The Bears will square off with the Devils next as they head to Philadelphia to face USciences on Saturday, October 24.
