BLOOMFIELD, NJ - The Bloomfield College softball team's losing streak extended to five games as they were swept in a home doubleheader against Dominican. Bloomfield lost game one 4-3 and game two 8-1.

The Bears run in the sixth came on a solo home run by

Bloomfield mounted a rally in the seventh and even got the winning run into scoring position, but fell short.
Angela Hauser hit a one-out double and
Kelly Stites reached on an error.
Aubrey Orr then walked to load the bases.
Bayley Legarreta pinch hit and laced a shot into the left-center firled gap, but was help to a single. One run came in on the play to cut Dominican's lead to 4-2. Bueno then drove in the third run with a ground out to second to bring up
Greta Coleman with the tying run on third and winning run on second.
Coleman hit a hard grounder right down the first base line, but it was snagged by Shannon Truppi at first for the final out.
Wilson (11-4) pitched well, allowing just four hits while striking out eight and walking one. Three of Dominican's four hits came in the sixth inning.
Bloomfield managed just five hits in the game with Bueno leading the way. The junior left fielder went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and a run.
In game two, Dominican led Bloomfield 1-0 going to the fourth, however, poor defense and timely hitting allowed Dominican to score four runs in the frame to put the game out of reach.
Dominican had five hits in the inning and errors by
Janese Timmons and Legarreta along with two wild pitches and a hit by pitch resulted in four runs for the Chargers.
Stephanie Miller (6-9) limited the damage beyond that as she pitched out of a bases loaded, one-out situation.
Dominican added one in the sixth and two in the seventh while Bloomfield was able to push across a solo run in the bottom of the seventh on a single by Legarreta. Legarreta finished the game 2-3 with the Bears only RBI.
