BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Bears picked up a strong Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) inter-divisional victory Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Tigers of Holy Family University, 3-1. Bloomfield extended their season-high win streak to four games and moved to 10-9 overall on the season with a 7-2, conference mark. The CACC South Division visitors fell to 8-10 for the year and 5-3 in league action.
For the second game in a row, the Bears dropped the first set of the match but came roaring back to win the match by set scores of 28-26 (H), 25-17 (B), 25-23 (B) and 25-18.

Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) tied a season-high with 28 digs on the afternoon while senior
Valerie Bermudez (San Juan, P.R.) contributed 16 digs, 10 kills and 4 services aces to Bloomfield's winning effort.
Nayade Paulino (Paterson, N.J.) notched 8 blocks to lead the Bears at the net to go along with 8 kills. The senior duo of
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alta Loma, Calif.) and
Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) dished out 19 and 14 assists.
Bloomfield hits the road for two games during the week before the return home for Deacon's Fest next Saturday. They will play a key regional game Tuesday against the University of New Haven at 7:00 pm and then visit Dominican College on Friday at 7:00 pm. The CACC contest for Deacon's Fest with the Wildcats of Wilmington University is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start at the Bloomfield Gym.
