BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College women's volleyball team opened up the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament with a sweep of the visiting Tigers of Holy Family University in the quarterfinal round Tuesday evening. The CACC North Division second seed handed the South Division's third seed a 3-0 loss by with set scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 28-26 at the Bloomfield College Gym.

Valerie Bermudez (San Juan, P.R.) had a solid opening round with 10 kills and 8 digs while classmates
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alta Loma, Calif.) and
Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) continued their outstanding play with 10 and 11 assists respectively.
Paola Noble (Toa Alta, P.R.) chipped in 7 kills while
Kali Viles (McKinney, T.X.) had 5 kills and two blocks on the night. Libero Samantha Rios (Juncos, P.R.) had 9 digs and six assists while
Alex Glasper (Hainesport, N.J.) came up big with 3 blocks that helped the Bears advanced to the semifinal round.

Bloomfield will now head down the Turnpike to Wilmington, Del. as the CACC tournament shifts to the campus of Wilmington University. The CACC North Division 2
nd seed will face off with the overall  #1 seeded Rams of PhilaU who will be out to avenge their lone loss in league play, which came at the claws of the Bears on Oct 1st. The match will be played at 1:00 p.m. with a trip the Conference Championship Final on the line.
