BLOOMFIELD, N.J. - The Bloomfield College Bears women's volleyball team defeated the Caldwell University Cougars, 3-1 Friday night in their home opener and first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action of 2016. Bloomfield lost the first set, 25-21 (C) but rallied to take the next three sets, 26-24 (B), 27-25 (B) and 25-22 (B) to improved to 4-6 overall and a perfect 1-0 in league play while the Cougars fell to 7-4 on the year with a 0-1 mark in conference action.

The Bears will turn around for an early Saturday road tri-match against Georgian Court University and Molloy College tomorrow. The Bears will grapple with both Lions teams in Lakewood, N.J. with their CACC foes up first at 11:00 am and then their ECC regional opponents at 1:00 pm.
