BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The women's volleyball team got back to their winning ways with a 3-0 sweep of the Golden Falcons from Felician University Friday evening at the Bloomfield College Gym. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory improved the Bears to 7-9 overall and 4-2 in league Games. Felician fell to 0-7 on the year in CACC contests and 0-12 overall for 2016.
Bloomfield controlled the entire match and won with set scores of, 25-19 (B), 25-15 (B) and 25-17 (B).
Junior
Paola Noble (Toa Alto, P.R.) had a breakout game as she registered 10 digs and 3 service aces while senior
Nayade Paulino (Paterson, N.J.) tallied 7 kills and 3 blocks for the evening.
Valerie Bermudez (San Juan, P.R.) posted 9 kills and senior classmates
Jacquelyn Madlock (Alta Loma, Calif.) and
Edmarie Freytes (San Juan, P.R.) recorded 18 and 13 assists respectively.
The Bears take to the rainy road tomorrow for an inter-divisional showdown with the Rams of Philadelphia U. The top team in the CACC South Division will welcome Bloomfield for a 12:00 pm start as they look to defend their perfect, 4-0 league record.
