PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bloomfield College women's volleyball team hit the road Saturday afternoon and suffered a 3-0 setback in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play against Holy Family University. The league loss dropped the Bears to 5-8 in CACC action and 6-16 overall while the Tigers improved to 10-3 in conference games and 15-8 overall.
 
Holy Family took command from the opening set and sprinted out to a 25-8 decision before Bloomfield could put up a fight. Set 2 the Bears had a better showing at 25-17 but with the sweep on the line, the Tigers put the match away with a 25-21 win in Set 3.
 
Linda Thomas (Irvington, NJ) registered a game-high 14 digs for the Bears and Delanie Cruz (Chicago, IL) added 12 digs on the afternoon. Freshman setter, Junelly Marrero (Cantano, PR) recorded 16 assists for the visiting team.
 
Bloomfield will be back in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to Bronxville, NY to face Concordia College. The CACC battle with the Clippers is slated for a 6:00 pm start.
