NYACK, NY – Holding on to their post-season hopes the Bloomfield College women's volleyball team pulled off an extraordinary comeback Saturday afternoon as they took down their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division rival, Nyack College. The Bears dropped the first two sets, 18-25 and 23-25 but battled back with 25-22, 25-11 and 15-10 set victories to claim the road win over the Warriors.
 
Sophomore Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) had a career day in digs as she recorded a game-high 32 and chipped in 20 kills as well. Freshman setter, Junelly Marrero (Cantano, PR) had a monster performance with 36 assists, 17 digs and a season's-best 9 service aces. Sophomore Delanie Cruz (Chicago, IL) added 17 digs and 4 assists while Ashley Stroot (Rolesville, NC) contributed 10 digs and 6 blocks for the Bears three blocks each.
 
The crucial win improved the Bloomfield overall record to 7-19 but more importantly 6-11 in league play as they held on to the 4th and final playoff spot in the North Division. The Warriors dropped to 12-19 overall and a 10-7 mark in conference matches.

The Bears return home to #DefendTheDen against a top team in the CACC South Division, the Jefferson Rams. The Wednesday evening battle at 7:00 pm will be followed by Bloomfield College's Midnight Madness event.
