WATERBURY, CONN – Bloomfield travelled north Wednesday evening looking for their 5^th consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory but instead suffered a 3-1 setback to Post University at the Drubner Center. The Bears played a tough match however the Eagles were up to the challenge on their newly renovated home court with set scores of: 25-20(P), 20-25(B), 25-15(P) and 25-22(P).
 
Bloomfield (5-8, 4-1 CACC) growled in front, 5-2 in the opening set but the Eagles (6-8, 4-1 CACC) soared into action with seven straight points and never looked back to take Set 1, 25-20. The Bears dug their claws in during Set 2 and pulled ahead, 20-9 before evening the match with a, 25-20 set win. The home team saw the night unfold with plenty of runs including a 15-1 outburst in the third set that left Bloomfield on their heels and down two sets to one after the, 25-15 outcome.
 
Facing their first loss in CACC play, the Bears came out determined to send the match to a fifth and deciding set as they roared to a 13-6 lead in Set 4. Post would eventually make a run to tie the set at 20-20 and then closed out the night with 5 of the last 7 points to break Bloomfield's unbeaten streak in league play.
 
Jandra Fabian (Santa Dominigo, DR) was back to her solid play with 23 kills and 14 digs while sophomore Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) added in 13 digs and 8 kills. Bloomfield saw their offense run by freshman, Junelly Marrero (Cantano, PR) as the setter recorded 29 assists in the setback. Linda Thomas (Irvington, NJ) registered 12 digs to go along with 2 service aces and an assist.
 
The Bears will look to rebound on Saturday when they travel to the city of 'Brotherly Love' to take on USciences in a league match up. The Devils will welcome Bloomfield to the Bobby Morgan Arena for a 12:00 pm game time.
