COLTS NECK, NJ - The Bloomfield Cross Country team competed today at the 1^st Annual Monmouth Tune-up meet when they traveled to Buck Hills Park, Colts Neck, NJ held by Monmouth University. The Men's Cross Country team finished 1^st as a team in Non-Division I school fueling up before the CACC Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship.
 
Isaiah Curbelo (Mount Holly, NJ) led the way for the Bears clocking in with a time of 16:06.6 while classmate Marc Lugo (Rochelle Park, NJ) finished thirteen overall and second for the Bears when he clocked in with a time of 16:27.0. Rookie Nicholas Rivera (Camden, NJ) crossed the line in sixteen place with a time of 16:33.3 and fellow classmate Paul Keyes (Manahawkin, NJ) clocked in with a time of 16:35.4. Right behind rookie sensation was Giovani Arcena (Pleasantville, NJ) clocking in with a time of 16:36.3 while senior Maurisio Nazario (Passaic, NJ) clocked in with a time of 17:09.6 and Robert Howell rounded the top seven with a time of 18:30.8.
 
The following Bear to cross the finish was Eddy Ongwenyi (Burlington Twn., NJ) with a time of 19:29.1 while Brandon LaRaque (Rahway, NJ) clocked in with a time of 20:57.3. Samuel Keleekai (Westampton, NJ) clocked in with a time of 21:17.0 and Brandon Phillip (East Brunswick, NJ) rounded out the Bloomfield College with a time of 23:40.9. The Bloomfield College Men's team plan was executed with the goal to maintain a pace of 5 minutes for the 5K race, finishing with a team average of 16:25.  
 
The men's cross country team finished their regular season as they prepare for the CACC Conference Championship hosted by Thomas Jefferson University on Sunday, October 28, 2018. The CACC Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference championship will be held in Belmont Plateau, Philadelphia, with the Women's Championship race starting off at 9 AM following by the Men's Championship race at 10 AM.
