FLEMINGTON, NJ – Junior co-captain, Mark Lugo (Mount Holly, NJ) led the way for the Bears men's cross country team in their Fall season debut at the 2018 Ramapo Cross Country Invitational, hosted by the Roadrunners at Deer Path Park Friday evening.
Lugo crossed the finish line in a time of 17:06 followed closely by classmate
Giovanni Aracena (Pleasantville, NJ) who was the second Bloomfield runner to finish with a time of 17:29. Former Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year,
Isaiah Curbelo (Mount Holly, NJ) crossed the line third for the Bears in a time of 18:08 and senior co-captain
Maurisio Nazario (Passaic, NJ) finished next with an 18:20 mark.
Brandon Phillip (East Brunswick, NJ) rounded out the Bloomfield runners with a time of 23:50.
Bloomfield will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 8
thwhen they travel to the 'City of Brotherly Love' to compete in the Philadelphia Metro Invitational. The men's race is set for 1:00 pm start at the Belmont Plateau course.
