PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bears volleyball team were swept Wednesday evening in Philadelphia when they squared off with Chestnut Hill College. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback left Bloomfield 0-15 on the season and 0-4 in league play while the Griffins improved to 4-8 overall and 2-3 in conference match ups.
 
The visitors dropped sets 1 and 2 by the scores of 25-16 and 25-19 respectively but battled Chestnut Hill tough in the 3^rdset before falling 25-22. Ashley Stroot (Rolesville, NC) registered 10 kills to lead the Bears' attack and Laityn Sarna (Las Vegas, NV) paced the offense with 24 assists. Junelly Marrero (Cantano, Puerto Rico) pitched in 2 assists to go along with her 23 digs. Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) had a solid day with 14 digs and 6 kills for Bloomfield.
 
The Bears look to get on the winning track as they begin a four-game home-stand starting this Saturday with Wilmington University visiting The Den. Bloomfield will roll out the welcome mat for the CACC match-up against the Wildcats that is set to begin at 12:00 pm.
