BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The Wildcats from Wilmington University visited 'The Den' Saturday afternoon and secured a three-set victory over the Bears volleyball. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match up saw Wilmington rise to 10-8 for the season with a 4-2 mark in conference play while Bloomfield dropped to 0-16 overall and a 0-5 record in league action.
The visitors completed the sweep of the Bears with a Set 1 score of 25-17 and Sets 2 & 3 where identical at 25-16 each. Freshman,
Laityn Sarna (Las Vegas, NV) once again paced the Bloomfield offense with 22 assists.
Junelly Marrero (Cantano, Puerto Rico) chipped in 14 digs to lead the home team's defensive side while junior.
Danielle Quintanar (El Paso, TX) registered 10 digs and 5 kills. Junior transfer,
Juliette Tygret (Gilbert, AZ) recorded 11 kills for the afternoon to git along with 7 digs. Freshman
Destiny King (Williamstown, NJ) picked up two solo blocks for the home squad.
The Bears continue on to the second-leg of a four-game home-stand when they host Nyack College on Tuesday, September 25. The CACC battle against the Warriors is set to begin at 6:00 pm and will feature Live Stats & Video.
