NEW HAVEN, Conn. (March 3, 2020) -- Kylan Guerra's three-point buzzer beater and a pair of victories for No. 3 seeds over No. 2 seeds highlighted a wild night of hoops in the quarterfinals of the 2019-20 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship.

Guerra's winning three lifted Thomas Jefferson University (S#1 seed) to a 63-60 win over Felician University (N#4), while on the same side of the bracket, Wilmington University (S#3) jumped out early and staved off a furious rally to defeat Post University (N#2) 76-69.

On the other side of the bracket, Dominican College (N#1) tipped off its defense of last year's CACC Championship by downing Georgian Court University (S#4) by a count of 80-50, while Bloomfield College (N#3) locked down an impressive 73-54 triumph on the road at Goldey-Beacom College (S#2).

It sets up interesting showdowns in Saturday's semifinals at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, as Jefferson will take on Wilmington at 5 p.m., followed by Dominican and Bloomfield matchup at 7 p.m. Saturday's two semifinal winners will face off in the CACC Championship Final on Sunday at USciences at 2:30 p.m.

GAME RECAPS

S#1 THOMAS JEFFERSON 63, N#4 FELICIAN 60 / Boxscore
Guerra, who earlier in the day was named the 2019-20 CACC Men's Basketball Player of the Year, drilled a buzzer-beating three-pointer from well beyond the arc to snap a 60-all tie and send the Rams back to the semis. He finished with 15 points, while Deondre Bourne led all Rams with 19. Guerra's winning basket came just moments after Jeff Lewis hit a driving layup to knot the score.

Lewis finished with 18 points, while Jaylen Colon scored a game-high 21 points on an impressive 9-of-10 shooting from the field.

Jefferson improved to 26-3 on the season, while Felician capped its season with a 13-15 mark.

S#3 WILMINGTON 76, N#2 POST 69 / Boxscore
Danny Walsh scored 17 of his game-high 28 points in the first half, and WilmU led by as many as 19 in earning the quarterfinal win. Post got off to a sluggish start, but eventually gained its footing to try and claw back into it. The Eagles were able to trim the deficit to three at 70-67 with a little more than a minute to go, but Walsh hit a late driving layup to help seal the victory. Devonte McCall led Post with 26 points.

N#1 DOMINICAN 80, S#4 GEORGIAN COURT 50 / Boxscore
Daraja Rodwell poured in 20 points in his final home game and the Chargers cruised to a quarterfinal win and fourth-consecutive trip to the semifinals. The Chargers will face Bloomfield in the postseason for the third time in the last four seasons, as the two met in last year's CACC Championship Final won by Dominican. The Chargers shot 48 percent from the floor, while limiting the Lions to just 32 percent shooting. Justin Figueroa came off the bench to net a team-best 12 points for GCU.

N#3 BLOOMFIELD 73, S#2 GOLDEY-BEACOM 54 / Boxscore
Darin Bellinger pumped in 21 points to stake BC to a 19-point win over G-B. The Bears led by as many as 22 points, as they built a 30-19 lead at halftime and it only swelled from there. Kyle Elliot netted a team-high 16 points for the Lightning, who were seeking their third-consecutive trip to the CACC semifinals.
