MANCHESTER, NH – The Bears men's basketball team took to the road for the weekend and squared off with Saint Anselm College, suffering a, 75-57 loss. The Saturday regional battle left Bloomfield with a 1-7 overall record while the Hawks improved to 4-3 on the season.
The visitors carved out a 23-15 advantage in the first fifteen minutes of the contest but Saint Anselm rallied to tie the score at 28 by halftime. In. the 2
nd half, the home team soared, outscoring Bloomfield, 47-29 to claim the regional win. The Bears offense on the season are only scoring 67.4 points per game while giving up 75.5 points to their opposition.
Freshman guard,
Deavion Ellis (North Bergen, NJ) was the only Bloomfield player to reach double-figures with 12 points off the bench.
Wesley Robinson (Burlington, NJ) grabbed 7 rebounds and added 9 points in the setback while
Edward Ngene (Lindenwold, NJ) also chipped in 9 points in 31 minutes of work.
The Bears hope to stop their current, five-game slide when they take to the court on Saturday, December 18
thagainst Molloy College. The Lions come to The Den for a 2:00 pm tip-off in more East Region action.
