JERSEY CITY, NJ – The Bears women's basketball team traveled to Jersey City Tuesday evening and faced Nyack College in their 2
nd Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC ) match-up of 2022. Bloomfield fell, 68-47 on John J. Moore court as the Warriors improved to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in league contests.
The visitors only double-digit scorer was
Siani Smith (Burlington, NJ) who netted 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. The Bears offense sputtered as they managed only 20 points across the first two quarters and went into intermission down, 32-20.
Redshirt-senior,
Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) saw her long-awaited first action in a Bloomfield uniform and managed only one field goal to go along with one rebound in seven minutes of work due to picking up four personal fouls.
Myasia Jackson (Trenton, NJ) registered 9 points and grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds.
The Bears who are, 2-10 overall and 0-4 in conference play will look for their first CACC win Thursday night when they host Dominican College. The battle with the Chargers is set for a 5:30pm tip-off in The Den. Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, games are subject to postponements with very little notice.
