PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bloomfield College men's basketball team traveled to the City of Brotherly Love and picked up an. 87-76 win over USciences Thursday night. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory marked the first time this season the Bears won back-to-back games and improved their overall record to 5-11. The visiting team also moved their conference record to 3-4 while the Devils dropped to 2-12 for the season and 2-6 in league play.
Bloomfield shot 53.7 percent (29-for-54) for the game which included 8-for-17 (47.1 percent) from beyond three-point range. The visitors took a, 52-37 lead into the halftime break and controlled the CACC contest most of the way.
Andres Fulgencio (Teaneck, NJ) followed up a 36-point performance on Tuesday night against Caldwell University with a 26-point showing against the Devils on 8-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from three-point range.
Josh Morris (Ewing, NJ) had a solid outing, netting 19 points, grabbing 4 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists at Bobby Morgan Arena.
Tyrek Battle-Holley (Jersey City, NJ) rounded out the top-scorers for the Bears with 15 points (6-for-8) and also recorded team-highs in rebounds (8) and assists (6).
Bloomfield carry their back-to-back CACC wins into Saturday when they host Wilmington University in The Den. The Wildcats and Bears are set for a 3:00 pm tip-off in conference action.
