BRIDGEPORT, CONN – In a see-saw battle on the road, Bloomfield College men's basketball team prevailed in an, 86-81 matchup Saturday afternoon against the University of Bridgeport. The electrifying Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game drew to a stalemate at halftime (38-38) but the Bears (4-3, 2-0 CACC) roared down the stretch to edge out the Purple Knights (4-3, 1-1 CACC) and remained unbeaten in league play the season.
Andres Fulgencio (Englewood, NJ) led all scorers as he poured in 23 points.
Josh Morris (Ewing, NJ) registered 19 points to go along with a game-high 12 boards for his first double-double of the season.
Wesley Robinson (Burlington, NJ) turned in a solid 12 points on 5-for-7 shooting while
Tyrek Battle-Holley (Jersey City, NJ) chipped in 10 points and went 4-for-6 from the field as the Bears as a team shot 49.2 percent for the afternoon.
Bloomfield will travel back to Connecticut on Thursday, December 8th when they visit the University of New Haven for a non-conference test. The Chargers welcome the Bears for a 7:00 pm scheduled tip-off.
