PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Bloomfield College men's basketball team hit the road Saturday afternoon and scored a, 64-60 victory over Chestnut Hill College. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win snapped a two-game slide for the Bears and improved their overall mark to 8-13 and 6-5 in league matches. The Griffins fell to 11-9 on the year and 8-4 in conference play.
The Bears shot only 29.6 percent (8-of-27) from the field in the opening period but took a slim, 28-26 lead into the halftime break. In the 2
ndhalf, the visitors scoring percentage jumped to 48.2 percent as
Andres Fulgencio (Teaneck, NJ) poured in 13 of his team-high 16 points during the final stanza. Tyrek Battle Holley (Jersey City, NJ) and
Isaiah Sparks (Ewing, NJ) poured in 14 and 12 points respectively, shooting a combined 10-of-20 from the floor.
Bloomfield, will be back on the road for a CACC test on Wednesday when they square off with Post University. The Eagles roll out the welcome mat for the Bears at the Drubner Center for a 7:30 pm tip-off.
