WATERBURY, CONN – The Bears men's basketball team suffered a, 91-74 setback to Post University on Wednesday. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss dropped Bloomfield's overall record to 8-14 and evened their league record at 6-6. The Eagles soared to 15-7 overall and still sit atop of the CACC North Division standings at 11-1.
Freshman, Andres Fulgencio (Teaneck, NJ) scored a team-high 14 points to lead the road team while
Tyrek Battle-Holley (Jersey City, NJ) and
Isaiah Sparks (Ewing, NJ) each contributed 11 points.
The home team held the lead for the majority of the game and took a 42-34 lead into halftime. The Eagles enjoyed a 52-39 advantage in rebounds for the contest and capitalized on it with 21 second-chance points
The Bears look to return to The Den for their next contest on Saturday when they face Goldey-Beacom College. The CACC showdown with the Lightning is scheduled for a 3:00pm tip-off in Bloomfield.
