WATERBURY, CONN – The Bloomfield College women's basketball team dropped a, 66-58 decision to Post University on Wednesday. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback left the Bears with a 3-18 overall record and 1-12 in league play. The Eagles improved to 13-6 on the year and 7-4 in conference games as the sit atop of the CACC North Division standings.
Daniya Darby (Jersey City, NJ) led the offensive attack for the visitors as the redshirt-freshman recorded her first career double-double, netting 15 points and snagging 13 rebounds.
Caitlin Townes (Newark, NJ) added 12 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the floor.
Bloomfield held a slim, 30-27 lead by the halftime break but the Eagles soared in the 3
rd quarter (22-12) to take control of the game and held off the visitors down the stretch.
The Bears return to The Den for their next contest on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Goldey-Beacom College. The CACC battle with the Lightning is set for a 1:00pm tip-off in Bloomfield.
