KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bloomfield College men's basketball senior
Tariq McKenith (Newark, NJ) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for a third straight year as announced by the organization. McKenith represented the Bears as one of over 2,000 players that earned spots on the NABC Honors Court.
In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
McKenith was 2
nd in the nation with a, 4.44 assist-to-turnover ratio in all of NCAA Division II basketball at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. He finished his Bloomfield career with over 500 points (544) and 300 rebounds (317) while maintaining over a 3.2 GPA. McKenith earned CACC All-Academic Team honors for the third time in his career and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology in May of 2022.
The NABC's academic awards include honorees from all levels of college basketball.
