LAKELAND, FLA. -  The Bloomfield College Bears started their 2022 campaign with a trip to the Sunshine State for the Florida Southern College (FCS) Volleyball Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Bears (0-2) suffered two setbacks on Day 1 of the Classic as they dropped three straight sets to Augusta (1-0) from the Peach Belt Conference and fell, 3-0 to Lynn University (2-0) who hailed from the Sunshine State Conference. 

Karla Maldonado (Morovis, PR) recorded 15 digs in the match against Augusta while Lily Ann Jackson (Apopka, Fla.) registered 12 assists against Lynn.
Bloomfield will look to regroup on Day 2 when they face Lander University and the Classic hosts, Florida Southern.
