ORANGEBURG, NY – Bloomfield College hit the road to face the Dominican University of New York (DUNY) women's volleyball team Saturday afternoon and picked up their third-straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory of 2022. The Bears (4-4, 3-0 CACC) swept the Chargers (5-6, 3-1 CACC) with scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-19 at the Hennessy Center.
The visitors were led by sophomore, outside hitter,
Jaizahir Marrero (Carolina, PR) who registered a team-high, 12 kills and added 3 blocks. Lilly Ann Jackson (Apopka, FL) paced the offense with 19 assists while
Karla Maldonado (Morovis, PR) chipped in 12 digs and
Desiree Cruz (Humacau, PR) had four blocks for the Bears.
Bloomfield has notched their fourth-consecutive victory since starting the season at 0-4 and look to continue that hot-streak when they host Post University in The Den on Wednesday. The Eagles swoop in for a 7:00 pm CACC showdown in front of the Bears Nation.
