BLOOMFIELD, NJ – The volleyball team welcomed Felician University to The Den Tuesday evening and suffered a, 3-1 setback. The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss at home left the Bears with a 2-10 overall record and a 2-8 mark in league games. The Golden Falcons soared to 7-3 in conference play and 9-12 overall.
The visitors took charge by winning the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-18 before Bloomfield clawed out a, 26-24 victory in Set 3. Felician secured the match with a, 25-18 win in Set 4.
Esther Dogbe recorded a team-high, 11 kills to go along with a season-high 7 blocks. Amanda Arroyo and Lauryn Hansford shared the offensive assists for the team as they registered 17 and 13 respectively. Sophia Wintonick had a season's-best, 19 digs and added 7 assists. Kyomaris Morales chipped in 8 kills, 4 blocks and 2 service aces for the Bears.
Bloomfield will be the hosts again for their next match on Saturday when they square-off with Goldey-Beacom College. The Lightning enter The Den on October 21 as the CACC teams are set for a 12:00 pm scheduled start.
