BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The women's volleyball team lost in straight sets Saturday afternoon against Pace University. Bloomfield College fell to 0-7 after the non-conference match while the Setters improved to 5-3 overall.
The visiting team enjoyed 13 straight points in the first set to help them to a 25-9 opening set victory. Set two the Bears surrendered a 9-1 run after being up 12-9 and Pace wrapped up the set with a 25-18 score. In the final set of the afternoon, the Setters surged ahead with a 10-4 lead early and never looked back taking the match after a, 25-11 third set.
Kyomaris Morales led the home team with 6 digs and 5 kills.
Amanda Arroyo notched 14 assists on the afternoon.
Volleyball returns to the court Wednesday night for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match-up against the University of Bridgeport. The opening serve is set for 7:00 p.m. on the road in Bridgeport, Conn.
