QUEENS, N.Y. (October 25, 2011) - Bloomfield's women's volleyball team fell to 7-14 overall Tuesday night, as they dropped a 3-0 road decision to non-conference opponent Queens College.
The Lady Deacons fell behind 1-0 in the match after a 15-25 loss in the opening set, and fell behind 2-0 in the contest after a 16-26 loss in the second frame. There would prove to be no three-set comeback effort on this night, as Queens was able to complete the sweep with a 17-25 victory in the third set, moving Bloomfield to 1-3 in non-conference contests and 3-8 in road matches on the season.
Freshman
Chereese Sheen (Queens, N.Y.) led the offensive attack with eight kills on the evening, while
Da'Cheray Thomas (Newark, N.J.) tallied seven kills and six digs in the setback.
Dominic Spivey (Newark, N.J.) led the defense effort with 10 digs on the night.
Bloomfield returns to action Saturday, October 29 with a road tri-match against CACC rival WIlmington University and non-conference opponent Bowie State University. Start time for the opening match is set for Noon.
