WATERBURY, Conn. (September 27, 2011) - Bloomfield's women's volleyball team fell to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in CACC play Tuesday evening, as they dropped a 3-1 road decision to CACC North Division rival Post University.

After dropping the opening set 25-9, the Lady Deacons quickly bounced back to even the match at a set apiece with a 25-22 victory in the second frame.  But it would prove to be the only victory Bloomfield would secure against the formidable Eagles, as Post took 25-13, and 25-12 victories in the next two sets to take the 3-1 match victory.

Freshman Chereese Sheen (Queens, N.Y.) led the offensive effort for Bloomfield, totaling eight kills in the loss.  Dominic Spivey (Newark, N.J.) followed with seven kills of her own, while Clodesh Marie Montano (Carolina, P.R.) and Brandi Bodin (Clara City, MN) each totaled 12 digs to lead the club.

Bloomfield returns to action Thursday, September 29 with a road match against CACC North Division foe Felician College.  Start time for the match is set for 7:00 PM.
