WILMINGTON, De. - The Bloomfield College women's volleyball team fell to 0-17 overall and 0-8 in conference play Oct. 12, as they dropped a 3-0 (19-25, 17-25, 18-25) road decision to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South Division rival Wilmington University.
Rookie
Courtney Leigh-Albios (Kaneohe, Hi.) led the offensive effort for the Lady Deacons in the loss, notching seven kills. Junior
Deandra Black (East Brunswick, N.J.) and rookies
Ashley Wright (Moreno Valley, Ca.) and
Elizabeth Meyer (Otsego, Mn.) each totaled six kills apiece in the setback.
Defensively, four players reached double figures in digs, with Wright leading the club by totaling 12 in the contest.
Paola Acosta (Caguas, P.R.),
Rachael Neilan (Bloomfield, N.J.) and Leigh-Albios each notched 10 digs in the loss.
Bloomfield returns to action Oct. 15, when they welcome CACC North Division club Concordia College for a midweek conference match. Start time for the contest is scheduled for 7 p.m.
