HIGHLIGHTS: This 1980 graduate played baseball under Al Restaino from 1978-1980. Although he played only two years of collegiate ball, Restaino said Marciano was the best player Bloomfield College ever had. As a third-team All-American in his senior year, Marciano played catcher and had "a gun for an arm". In both his junior and senior years he batted over .400, led the team in stolen bases, and finished second in home runs and RBIs.

"Having Marciano behind the plate was like having another coach on the field", said Restaino. "I never saw anyone handle pitches the way he did." Marciano helped the Deacons to the NAIA District 31 finals in both of his years on the team.

"The atmosphere that Coach Restaino and the Athletic Department created during my playing days was super," said Marciano. "The dedication and friendships developed amongst the players, coaches and school will be remembered forever."

TODAY: Currently, Marciano is working at the New Jork Times facility in Edison, NJ. He resides in Edison with his wife, Maria. They are expecting their first child in May.
