HIGHLIGHTS: This 1956 graduate starred in baseball from 1952 to 1956 under Coach Robert Nichols. Ventura is considered one of the best pitchers ever to have taken the hill for the Deacons. He was captain in both his junior and senior years and was best known for being a team player.

"As I look back at those years playing baseball, I can't help but remember the rapport amongst the players and faculty." said Ventura. "The school really got behind the students and supported them 100%. But perhaps the experience I'll never forget about playing baseball was the time I broke two teeth and ripped my ear in a collision at second base!"

"If I can share one thing with the young athletes of today, it would be to place the team above yourself, never cease to reach for the higher, and to persevere," said Ventura.

TODAY: Ventura is currently employed as a restaurant manager in Trenton. He resides in East Windsor, NJ with his wife. Luci. They have two children Drew (31) and Christopher (28).
